Welcome to my travel blog on the beautiful village of Lajes do Pico, located on beautiful Pico... one of the 9 islands of the Azores...straight in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean.

If you want to escape....Pico is the place ... one of the cool places to spend time in is the village of Lajes ... it is protected by a mountain from behind and welcomed by the ocean from the front.

You can visit the whales, go fishing, hike, sail, kayak or just sit back enjoy a beer or a glass of wine and wathch the sunset behind the beautiful mountain of Pico ....it's breathtaking.

DO ALL OR NOTHING in Lajes ...... a great base to experience the majestic island of Pico.
